About:

Community Recreation is dedicated to providing quality, affordable and creative programs that will aid the community of Danville in becoming healthy in our region. As the region suffers from obesity and chronic diseases, we are excited for the opportunity to provide programs in helping to make the Dan River Region a happier and healthier place to live by offering a variety of classes for all skill sets.

Thrive!

Join the Thrive community! The Health Collaborative wants to support the health of the region's residents by recognizing Dan River Region organizations and institutions that are making efforts to improve the health of their members and our community. The Health Collaborative has developed a recognition program that makes it easy for any organization to join and began to create positive change for the community. With this challenge, you are invited to join us in building a region where good health is within reach for all! Work sites, schools, faith based organizations, and out of school providers are welcome! Sign-up with Danielle Montague montadr@danvilleva.gov. Or call (434) 799-5150.
