    Splash into summer with water games, water toys, and our giant sprinkler! The Fun Wagon will be visiting numerous sites throughout the city.     The 10th Annual Patriot Challenge will feature a 5K/10K and Kid's Fun Run. The trail race on Anglers Ridge Mountain Bike Trail is a great way to kick off your Independence Day celebration. An ice cream social will follow the race. Race Swag guaranteed to the first 75 who register! The event is sponsored by SOVAH Health, Danville Parks and Recreation, and Danville Running and Fitness Club.

  9. July 4 Celebration

    July 4, 2018, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Carrington Pavilion

    The annual July 4 Celebration will kick off at 6 p.m. and will feature free entertainment by the Wampler Brothers and Carolyn Smith, arts and crafts, and Captain Jim's Magical Illusion Show. The evening will conclude with the grand fireworks display at dusk (weather permitting). Concession, craft, and commercial vendors will be on site with amusement rides available. This event is sponsored by URW Community Federal Credit Union, J&J Equipment Rentals, J&J Truck Sales, and Danville Parks and Recreation.   10. Beginner Dance, Ballet, Ages 3-5

    Children will spend a half hour learning basic skills of ballet and majorette. Dance requires the movement of arms, legs and torso designed to increase flexibility, muscle strength and range of motion. Dance classes improve emotional and metal stability and decreases shyness.
